the yoga love

on the mat is a state of mind

Wait for it…

If you let things flow, and try not to force them, the universe puts you right where you need to be to receive the answers. You learn to live in a way that is so open, so accepting of the signs, that you never have to wonder about your decisions (well, mostly).

I tried to make a bad decision yesterday – things kept getting in my way, so I put my bad decision off until today. This morning I met some friends at yoga and they provided me with a piece of info that changed my entire view of the situation. That bad decision didn’t look so appealing anymore. I was about to sell myself short in a major way, and thanks to my friends, I will remember to hold myself to a much higher standard going forward.

Being cryptic on the details to protect the guilty πŸ˜‰ Lesson learned. Onward and Upward!!!

more downward dog, less downward spiral

Smile, be happy!

"Happiness is the consequence of personal effort. You fight for it, strive for it, insist upon it, and sometimes even travel around the world looking for it. You have to participate relentlessly in the manifestations of your own blessings. And once you have achieved a state of happiness, you must never become lax about maintaining it. You must make a mighty effort to keep swimming upward into that happiness forever, to stay afloat on top of it." β€” Elizabeth Gilbert
