on the mat is a state of mind
This morning was a Sunday Sadhana at blue lotus. Jill led a 3 hour class that included extended pranayama, chanting, asana and the most glorious savasana of all time. Ever. At the beginning of the practice, she reminded us that what we had signed up for was time. We had time to get to everything, and not just rush through the poses, break a sweat and get on to the next thing. We had time to be in it. Time to play. Time to process. There was enough time that we didn’t have to worry about what was next, we’d get there.There was time to be present.
