the yoga love

on the mat is a state of mind

Day 4/8: poopasana

Maybe I hit up two classes last night because I knew this was coming, but a bummer nonetheless. Perfect timing for a reminder that this week was about good decisions, not going to yoga.

I’ve got one sick puppy, so tonight I got down with my dog, not my downdog – one of the few things that will keep me from my mat (“Hot Doughnuts Now” and particularly perfect weather make that list).

So it goes.

Onward.

Sometimes yoga takes place off the mat, Coo. I get it.

more downward dog, less downward spiral

Smile, be happy!

"Happiness is the consequence of personal effort. You fight for it, strive for it, insist upon it, and sometimes even travel around the world looking for it. You have to participate relentlessly in the manifestations of your own blessings. And once you have achieved a state of happiness, you must never become lax about maintaining it. You must make a mighty effort to keep swimming upward into that happiness forever, to stay afloat on top of it." — Elizabeth Gilbert
